These
packs of yarns and threads are created with Jacqui Barber’s
books in mind! Each pack contains ten skeins of approximately 10m
– each pack is individually created from a wide variety of
yarns and threads. The contents vary and may include cotton, wool,
acrylic, polyester, cotton/silk mix, wool/silk mix, rayon, linen,
nylon etc. These packs have also been purchased for use in creative
embroidery as well as freeform knitting and crochet. |

Jacqui
has been developing ‘big, bold and beautiful bobbin lace’
for more than ten years using traditional Torchon lace creating
a ‘new fabric for the new millennium’. This publication
is beautifully illustrated with photographs of the source materials,
work in progress and the completed scarves. The book covers the
basic techniques, sample projects and eight lovely scarf designs.
Jacqui uses thick, textured, colour co-ordinated threads in all
her patterns. Why
not experiment with the large-scale patterns in the book! The
lace grows fast and the coloured threads are fun to use.
