Alison at the National Christmas Lacmaker's Fair 2007 held at Cranmore Park, Birmingham.

I'm frantically painting bobbins for this year's National Christmas Lacemaker's Fair on 6 December 2008 at Cranmore Park. I would like to say a very big THANK YOU to all those who supported the event at the new location last year. It certainly seemed to be well received by both stallholders and the public!

Commissions are also welcome but please allow six to eight weeks for delivery.

Hopefully my web site will give you an idea of the type of work I do but if you would like something a little different please call or email (note change of address above).

I have been making lace for many years and have always appreciated the skill of bobbin painters – then decided to paint bobbins for myself!

My bobbins are painted with acrylic, watercolour and gouache paints sealed with several coats of varnish. My bobbins can be designs of my own, commemoratives or special requests from customers. For more details on prices please click on Orders above.

I have been an active member of The Lace Guild for many years including a three year spell on the Executive Committee.

I am also currently Chairman of the Edinburgh Lace Club.
